He is a qualified CA (SA) and has obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning and is registered with the Financial Planning Institute as a CFP®. John has successfully completed all the regulatory exams required by the Financial Services Board in terms of the FAIS regulations.
He grew up in Molteno in the Eastern Cape and attended Queens College. After completing his studies he was articled to Charteris & Barnes.
John moved to Knysna in 1994 and worked for Corbett & Co. He was admitted as a partner the same year and later bought out the existing partners. He then merged with Ronnie in 2004 to form AQB.
Work/Life balance: John is a golf enthusiast and is President of the Knysna Golf Club. He also intends to find his mountain bike in the shed one day soon.

Ronnie has a B.Proc from University of Witwatersrand and an Hons.B.Compt from UNISA. He is a qualified CA(SA), having completed his articles at Deloitte. He then moved on to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, where he completed his Stock Exchange exams. Ronnie has successfully completed all the regulatory exams required by the Financial Services Board in terms of the FAIS regulations.
In 1987, he established his own financial life planning business. After operating from Johannesburg, he set up an office in Knysna in 1997, and operated from that office until the merger that formed AQB.
Work/Life balance: Ronnie represents South Africa in Veterans' tennis. He is currently Chairman of South African Veterans Tennis.
